OVERVIEW

Overview

Arrangements for AC cleaning, fault inspection, repair and installation for restaurants and eateries. For restaurant AC cleaning, first separate the kitchen area from the dining area. Check the applicable cleaning process, current price list, inspection fee, and the boundary between repair and installation work.

KEY CHECKS

Key preparation points before arranging

  1. Grease and fumes need separate assessment.

If the unit is near a kitchen or open flame, oil stains are usually heavier than in a typical office. Customer service will judge from the photos whether part dismantling and cleaning is needed, and the quote will be based on the actual level of dirt and the model.

  2. Coordinate with opening and closing hours

Most restaurants can only make space available before opening or after closing. Please state the available downtime, access arrangements and whether work needs to be done in phases, so as not to affect front-of-house operations.

  3. Protect floor seating and dining area

Before work starts, tables, chairs, tableware and food areas need to be moved or covered. If the site cannot be cleared, please advise in advance so that time and protective materials can be arranged.

  4. Dripping and odour should be inspected first

Poor drainage, dripping or odour may involve the drain outlet or a mechanical issue, and may not be solved by cleaning alone. If relevant symptoms are present, fault inspection can be arranged at the same time.

CLEANING FIRST

AC Cleaning Scope and Work Arrangement

For restaurant AC cleaning, first separate the kitchen area from the dining area. For grease-heavy locations, check the dirt buildup on the cooling coil, blower wheel and condensate collection points; do not just wipe the panel. Protect tableware, food and seating on the floor. Arrange dismantling and cleaning according to the actual unit type. For heavy grease or hard-to-reach areas, confirm the scope of work first, then test the unit and check drainage after completion.

Inspect first, then clean, and finally test the unit

  1. First record the condition of the unit, confirm the installation location, removable parts and scope of work, and protect furniture, goods and electronic devices under the unit
  2. Dismantle and clean the applicable parts according to the actual model and safety conditions, handle dirt build-up, water collection and drainage, and do not treat repairs as included in washing the unit
  3. After reassembling the parts, test run, check drainage and tidy the site; if there is any pre-existing fault or extra work, it will be explained and quoted first

Cleaning maintenance and pricing90-day cleaning maintenance is subject to the terms; pricing is based on model type and number of units

The cleaning service includes a 90-day warranty for problems caused by the cleaning service; dripping and leakage cases must first have the cause verified and the applicable terms confirmed at booking, and not all cases qualify for free repair.

The following are for reference by equipment type only, and do not mean the same brand or venue must use all of the above models. Basic cleaning is priced by model and unit count; outdoor condensers, steam add-ons, special locations and extra work are subject to eligibility checks, and no brand-specific or industry-standard price is created.

FAULT INSPECTIONAir Conditioner Inspection: Identify the Problem FirstIf no repair is carried out, a fixed HK$500 inspection/attendance fee applies; it can be waived from the repair fee if you proceed with the repair.

Please state whether it was already not cold enough when the shop opened, or only became a problem during busy hours, and which area is dripping or has an odour. It is necessary to distinguish airflow, drainage, the equipment itself and the effect of heat sources on site; do not assume it is oil contamination or low refrigerant without inspection. If there is a burning smell or repeated tripping, stop using it first.

Inspection fee and safety reminder

After the technician visits for an inspection, if the customer does not proceed with the repair or does not accept the repair quotation, a fixed HK$500 inspection/attendance fee will be charged; this is a single charge and is not split into two separate charges.

If you notice a burning smell, smoke, repeated tripping, or water near electrical parts, stop using the equipment first. Do not keep restarting it or dismantle it yourself.

REPAIRAir conditioning repair: confirm the quotation first, then proceedProceed only after the quotation is confirmed; our repair service does not include warranty

Before repair, list the affected units and possible downtime periods; do not treat the kitchen, main floor area, and other equipment as the same fault. After the technician confirms the cause, they will explain the required work, parts, and cost. Repair arrangements and extra cleaning are confirmed separately, and same-day completion after closing is not guaranteed.

Keep costs and maintenance separate

If you agree to proceed with repairs, HK$500 can be deducted from the repair fee; please check the deduction and amount payable when confirming the quotation.

Our repair service does not include a warranty, including repair parts and workmanship. Please understand the repair scope and fees before accepting the quotation.

Repair parts must be checked against model and supply. We do not guarantee that parts are available for all models or that same-day repair is possible. We will not treat refrigerant top-up as necessary before the cause is confirmed.

INSTALLATIONAC installation and replacementGeneral installation includes a one-year warranty, separate from the manufacturer's warranty; new power supply wiring and extra works quoted separately

When replacing an AC in a restaurant, check the seating layout, kitchen heat sources, air direction, outdoor unit heat dissipation, drainage and power supply, not just the room size. The scope of work for renovation, exhaust hood systems and other systems should be clearly listed first. If mall access, lifting operations or designated shutdown times are involved, coordinate with the management office in advance.

Quote separately for work beyond the basic scope

Pulling a new power supply from the main switch to the unit is not included; please provide the existing power supply location for the technician to assess and quote separately.

First confirm old unit removal, transport, copper pipes (the copper tubes through which the refrigerant flows), drain pipes, fixing and any extra work needed. General installation warranty and the manufacturer's product warranty are separate. Please see the installation service page for the full scope; special systems are not directly subject to general replacement terms.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can it be cleaned only after the restaurant closes?

You may enquire first. Whether evening or non-office-hour arrangements are possible depends on manpower and location on the day, and must be confirmed by customer service.

After cleaning an AC near the kitchen, will the grease be removed completely?

Cleaning can remove built-up dirt from detachable and accessible parts, but serious ageing or oil contamination that has seeped into components may not be fully restored. The technician will explain on site.

What information do I need to provide?

Please provide the site address, model type (split, window, ceiling-mounted, etc.), quantity, photos of the unit location, and the time period when the system can be switched off.

Are the inspection fee and the call-out fee charged twice?

After the technician visits for an inspection, if the customer does not proceed with the repair or does not accept the repair quotation, a fixed HK$500 inspection/attendance fee will be charged; this is a single charge and is not split into two separate charges. If repair is approved, HK$500 can be deducted from the repair cost; please confirm the deduction and the amount payable when confirming the quotation. Inspection does not include cleaning, parts or repair, and related work will only be arranged after the quotation is confirmed.

Is the warranty the same for repairs and installations?

Our repair service does not include a warranty, including repair parts and workmanship. Please understand the repair scope and fees before accepting the quotation. We provide a one-year installation warranty, covering brackets and leaks caused by glass sealing or sealant. For split units, it also covers refrigerant leakage caused by poor refrigerant-pipe connection; not all water leaks or refrigerant leaks are covered by installation warranty. The two services must not be mixed up; for the full scope and exclusions, please see the repair and installation service pages, and special systems must be confirmed separately.
