AC TYPES

AC models and cleaning process

First identify the model, then review the main cleaning procedures, what is and is not included, and the preparation for enquiry. Inverter is an operating technology, while VRV/VRF is a system classification; it is not mutually exclusive with window, split or ceiling-mounted models.

6 topics

For each topic, the key preparation points, service scope boundaries and common questions before arrangement are listed.

  1. Split AC

Split AC cleaning mainly covers the indoor unit. First check the unit condition, then protect electronic components and the surrounding area, clean with water, and check drainage. The outdoor condenser is not automatically included in basic cleaning.

  2. Window-type air conditioner

For a window-type air conditioner, first assess the fixing, window ledge and equipment condition, then arrange dismantling, cleaning and restoration. The cleaning method must suit the unit condition and the site, and customers do not need to loosen the bracket or move the equipment themselves.

  3. Four-way cassette / ceiling cassette split AC

Four-way cassette / ceiling cassette split AC units are usually serviced from the ceiling position to handle the panel, water tray and internal components. We first confirm working height, access space and on-site protection before arranging dismantling, cleaning and performance testing.

  4. Ducted split unit

A ducted split AC may be hidden inside the ceiling. Before cleaning, first find the access opening (the opening for inspection and maintenance), confirm the accessible parts, and distinguish between AC cleaning and cleaning the entire supply and return duct system.

  5. Floor/ceiling split unit

For a concealed split-type unit, first identify it by the actual model label on the unit body and the service location. Cleaning arrangements focus on accessible parts, the fan wheel, heat exchange and drainage; do not assume the same model just because it is concealed in the ceiling.

  6. Central air conditioning

Central air-conditioning is a broad term. When making an enquiry, first define the actual unit and components. The following process only applies to equipment that has been assessed as suitable for this method and does not mean the entire central air-conditioning system of the building is covered.
