For a window-type air conditioner, first assess the fixing, window ledge and equipment condition, then arrange dismantling, cleaning and restoration. The cleaning method must suit the unit condition and the site, and customers do not need to loosen the bracket or move the equipment themselves.

Main cleaning scope
Where feasible, remove the unit and casing, and clean the heat-exchange parts, fan wheel, dust filter, drip tray, and drainage parts that are suitable for treatment. Protect the motor and electronic parts, then refit and test the unit.
Preparation before enquiry
Photograph the unit, window frame, support and nearby space, and state whether there are window grilles, fixed furniture or moving restrictions; if there is any looseness, rust or concrete damage, please explain it in advance. The model label is the sticker showing the brand, model and serial number; if you cannot find it, you can first send a photo of the entire AC, and do not dismantle the unit yourself.
Keep basic cleaning and extra work separate
Cleaning does not automatically include a new frame, window-sill repairs, concrete work, or external wall work. The feasibility of removing the unit and any extra work must first be confirmed based on the on-site assessment.
Test run and fault handling
Check the unit’s operation before and after cleaning; if any pre-existing fault or extra work is found, explain it to the customer and quote first. Cleaning does not guarantee to solve all cooling, dripping or electrical problems.
CLEANING PROCESS
Window-type air conditioner
Remove the unit, clean the internal parts, then reinstall, inspect and test run.
- Booking arrangement: confirm the service date and time.
- Inspect the unit condition: the technician will check the operation and equipment condition, and assess the cleaning and dismantling arrangement.
- Remove the window unit: depending on the installation position and site conditions, take the unit down and move it to the cleaning location.
- Remove the casing to clean the interior.
- Clean the internal components: dismantle and clean removable parts, use a cleaner designed for air conditioners to treat dust-prone areas such as the squirrel-cage fan, and protect the motor and electronic components.
- Clean the remaining parts: wash the radiator, fan blades, dust filter, drip tray and drain pipe, and flush away the wastewater.
- Check components: inspect the components after cleaning. If any damage is found, explain it to the customer and provide a quotation first; repair or replacement will only be carried out after confirmation.
- Reassemble: put the cleaned components back in place.
- Operating test: check operation, cooling temperature and noise.
- Reinstall: put the unit back in its original position and check the installation and operation.

- The dismantling method depends on the model, installation position and condition of the equipment; customers do not need to dismantle the unit themselves.

Inspect first, then clean, and finally test the unit
- First record the condition of the unit, confirm the installation location, removable parts and scope of work, and protect furniture, goods and electronic devices under the unit
- Dismantle and clean the applicable parts according to the actual model and safety conditions, handle dirt build-up, water collection and drainage, and do not treat repairs as included in washing the unit
- After reassembling the parts, test run, check drainage and tidy the site; if there is any pre-existing fault or extra work, it will be explained and quoted first

The cleaning service includes a 90-day warranty for problems caused by the cleaning service; dripping and leakage cases must first have the cause verified and the applicable terms confirmed at booking, and not all cases qualify for free repair.

Basic cleaning is priced by model and unit count; outdoor condensers, steam add-ons, special locations and extra work are subject to eligibility checks, and no brand-specific or industry-standard price is created.

Please state whether the issue is airflow, cooling, vibration, unusual noise or inward dripping, and provide photos of the window ledge, bracket, window frame and unit. A fastening or support problem may require installation work; it is not only a matter of checking the inside of the unit, and you should not loosen the bracket yourself to test it.
Inspection fee and safety reminder
After the technician visits for an inspection, if the customer does not proceed with the repair or does not accept the repair quotation, a fixed HK$500 inspection/attendance fee will be charged; this is a single charge and is not split into two separate charges.
If you notice a burning smell, smoke, repeated tripping, or water near electrical parts, stop using the equipment first. Do not keep restarting it or dismantle it yourself.

After inspection, distinguish between drainage issues, component faults and installation problems. First confirm the space for dismantling and safety, then quote repair items and parts costs. Window sills, exterior wall concrete and bracket repairs are not automatically included in general cleaning or component repair.

Repair parts must be checked against model and supply. We do not guarantee that parts are available for all models or that same-day repair is possible. We will not treat refrigerant top-up as necessary before the cause is confirmed.

When replacing a window unit, first measure the new unit and the window opening, and check the support, fixing points and drainage direction. Do not assume that the horsepower rating alone means it will fit. Window grilles, fixed furniture, moving access and external wall conditions will affect removal and installation. Glass sealing or extra structural work must be confirmed first.
Quote separately for work beyond the basic scope
Pulling a new power supply from the main switch to the unit is not included; please provide the existing power supply location for the technician to assess and quote separately.
First confirm old unit removal, transport, copper pipes (the copper tubes through which the refrigerant flows), drain pipes, fixing and any extra work needed. General installation warranty and the manufacturer's product warranty are separate. Can a window unit always be removed for cleaning?
We first need to inspect the equipment condition, fixing method, support and moving space. If there is any safety or damage risk, it should be assessed first; we do not promise that all window-type units can be dismantled and cleaned in the same way.
How is window-type air conditioner cleaning priced?
Please refer to the relevant residential or commercial air-conditioning cleaning price list and confirm based on the actual model, quantity and working conditions. Special locations, additional parts or extra work cannot be priced by model name alone.
If there is a burning smell or repeated tripping, can cleaning be arranged first?
First stop using the AC. Do not restart it repeatedly or disassemble it yourself. Describe the abnormal symptoms and first confirm safety and whether fault inspection is needed. Cleaning cannot replace handling electrical or mechanical problems.
Are the inspection fee and the call-out fee charged twice?
After the technician visits for an inspection, if the customer does not proceed with the repair or does not accept the repair quotation, a fixed HK$500 inspection/attendance fee will be charged; this is a single charge and is not split into two separate charges. If repair is approved, HK$500 can be deducted from the repair cost; please confirm the deduction and the amount payable when confirming the quotation. Inspection does not include cleaning, parts or repair, and related work will only be arranged after the quotation is confirmed.
Is the warranty the same for repairs and installations?
Our repair service does not include a warranty, including repair parts and workmanship. Please understand the repair scope and fees before accepting the quotation. We provide a one-year installation warranty, covering brackets and leaks caused by glass sealing or sealant. For split units, it also covers refrigerant leakage caused by poor refrigerant-pipe connection; not all water leaks or refrigerant leaks are covered by installation warranty.
