Carrier AC cleaning,Repair, Installation and Inspection

Carrier AC enquiries first need to distinguish between independent units, tenant equipment, and building common air-conditioning systems. A brand name alone does not mean the company can handle every job for a full commercial system.

OVERVIEW

Overview

Carrier AC cleaning, fault inspection, repairs and installation arrangements. For Carrier cleaning, first distinguish between tenant-owned independent units, ceiling-mounted units, and building common air-conditioning systems, and state which part needs cleaning this time. Check the applicable cleaning process, current prices, inspection fees, and the scope boundaries between repairs and installation.

KEY CHECKS

Key preparation points before arranging

  1. Confirm who is responsible for the equipment

Provide the scope of equipment responsibility for the tenant, owner or management office. First distinguish the indoor unit, shared piping and main unit; do not treat air outlet cleaning as cleaning the entire central system.

  2. List the parts to be cleaned

Photograph the unit model label, the access panel (the opening for inspection and repair) and the accessible areas to confirm the actual working scope for the dust filter, heat exchange parts, water collection and drainage, and avoid using an unsuitable domestic rate.

  3. Special works require separate confirmation

If the work involves the main unit, water system, controls or large equipment projects, actual capability, qualifications and management arrangements must be confirmed separately. The appearance of a brand on this page does not mean all work can be undertaken.

  4. Charges are based on the model; no separate brand pricing.

Household and commercial air conditioning use the relevant current price lists, with additional confirmation based on quantity, unit location and extra work; brand pages do not set unconfirmed prices or maintenance commitments.

  5. Confirm services other than cleaning first

Repairs are first inspected to confirm the cause and quotation; installation is assessed based on the new or old unit, piping, drainage, and power supply scope. Factory authorization, specific parts, and capability for all models are not implied by this page.

CLEANING FIRST

AC Cleaning Scope and Work Arrangement

For Carrier cleaning, first distinguish between tenant-owned independent units, ceiling-mounted units, and building common air-conditioning systems, and state which part needs cleaning this time. We clean the filter, cooling coil, fan wheel, and drainage within the accessible area, and do not describe grille wiping or single-unit cleaning as a full-building central system job.

Inspect first, then clean, and finally test the unit

  1. First record the condition of the unit, confirm the installation location, removable parts and scope of work, and protect furniture, goods and electronic devices under the unit
  2. Dismantle and clean the applicable parts according to the actual model and safety conditions, handle dirt build-up, water collection and drainage, and do not treat repairs as included in washing the unit
  3. After reassembling the parts, test run, check drainage and tidy the site; if there is any pre-existing fault or extra work, it will be explained and quoted first

Cleaning maintenance and pricing90-day cleaning maintenance is subject to the terms; pricing is based on model type and number of units

The cleaning service includes a 90-day warranty for problems caused by the cleaning service; dripping and leakage cases must first have the cause verified and the applicable terms confirmed at booking, and not all cases qualify for free repair.

The following are for reference by equipment type only, and do not mean the same brand or venue must use all of the above models. Basic cleaning is priced by model and unit count; outdoor condensers, steam add-ons, special locations and extra work are subject to eligibility checks, and no brand-specific or industry-standard price is created.

FAULT INSPECTIONAir Conditioner Inspection: Identify the Problem FirstIf no repair is carried out, a fixed HK$500 inspection/attendance fee applies; it can be waived from the repair fee if you proceed with the repair.

Please provide the unit model, control display, affected area and management contact details. First determine whether the issue involves the indoor unit, main unit, water system or controls, and which party is responsible; for special commercial systems, please confirm service capability first, and do not rely on the brand alone.

Inspection fee and safety reminder

After the technician visits for an inspection, if the customer does not proceed with the repair or does not accept the repair quotation, a fixed HK$500 inspection/attendance fee will be charged; this is a single charge and is not split into two separate charges.

If you notice a burning smell, smoke, repeated tripping, or water near electrical parts, stop using the equipment first. Do not keep restarting it or dismantle it yourself.

REPAIRAir conditioning repair: confirm the quotation first, then proceedProceed only after the quotation is confirmed; our repair service does not include warranty

For Carrier repairs, first list the unit parts and the boundary with the building's shared systems, then confirm parts, shutdown permission, and the quotation. Main units, water treatment, system controls, or other specialist work are not automatically included and must be confirmed according to the actual equipment.

Keep costs and maintenance separate

If you agree to proceed with repairs, HK$500 can be deducted from the repair fee; please check the deduction and amount payable when confirming the quotation.

Our repair service does not include a warranty, including repair parts and workmanship. Please understand the repair scope and fees before accepting the quotation.

Repair parts must be checked against model and supply. We do not guarantee that parts are available for all models or that same-day repair is possible. We will not treat refrigerant top-up as necessary before the cause is confirmed.

INSTALLATIONAC installation and replacementGeneral installation includes a one-year warranty, separate from the manufacturer's warranty; new power supply wiring and extra works quoted separately

For a Carrier replacement, first check the unit type, size, power supply, drainage, and connection system. If lifting, ceiling alteration, or shared equipment is involved, confirm with the building management first; do not use a standard split-unit home installation price for an unevaluated commercial job.

Quote separately for work beyond the basic scope

Pulling a new power supply from the main switch to the unit is not included; please provide the existing power supply location for the technician to assess and quote separately.

First confirm old unit removal, transport, copper pipes (the copper tubes through which the refrigerant flows), drain pipes, fixing and any extra work needed. General installation warranty and the manufacturer's product warranty are separate. Please see the installation service page for the full scope; special systems are not directly subject to general replacement terms.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

If there is a Carrier brand page, does that mean the air conditioning in the entire building can be repaired?

No. You must first identify the equipment and the work scope. A general cleaning enquiry does not mean the whole building's main plant, controls, water system or other specialist works are included.

Enquire about KaiWhat do I need to provide for Carrier AC cleaning?

Please provide a photo of the model label, the sticker showing the brand, model and unit serial number, a photo of the entire air conditioner, the quantity, indoor and outdoor locations, and the district. If you cannot find the label, you may first send a photo of the entire unit; no need to dismantle it yourself. If there is water dripping, insufficient cooling, unusual noise or a fault code, please state that as well.

Is this page an official repair centre for Carrier?

This is not a statement from the original manufacturer or an authorised repair centre. This page provides service enquiry information for OPOExpert Air Conditioning. For original warranty, specified parts or specialised systems, please first confirm the applicable scope.

Are the inspection fee and the call-out fee charged twice?

After the technician visits for an inspection, if the customer does not proceed with the repair or does not accept the repair quotation, a fixed HK$500 inspection/attendance fee will be charged; this is a single charge and is not split into two separate charges. If repair is approved, HK$500 can be deducted from the repair cost; please confirm the deduction and the amount payable when confirming the quotation. Inspection does not include cleaning, parts or repair, and related work will only be arranged after the quotation is confirmed.

Is the warranty the same for repairs and installations?

Our repair service does not include a warranty, including repair parts and workmanship. Please understand the repair scope and fees before accepting the quotation. We provide a one-year installation warranty, covering brackets and leaks caused by glass sealing or sealant. For split units, it also covers refrigerant leakage caused by poor refrigerant-pipe connection; not all water leaks or refrigerant leaks are covered by installation warranty. The two services must not be mixed up; for the full scope and exclusions, please see the repair and installation service pages, and special systems must be confirmed separately.
