Proper AC cleaning also includes confirmation after completion. Residents can check the actual cleaning, restoration of parts, test run and any unresolved items, but should not dismantle the unit themselves, touch the wiring or pour water into the drain pipe; existing faults and the scope of cleaning and maintenance should be recorded separately.
First compare with the booked scope
Confirm the model, quantity and actual cleaning parts, and whether the outdoor unit, extra drainage or other work are included. You cannot judge that the service has covered all hidden parts of the whole system just by the working time or tool name.
Confirm restoration and site finishing
Please have the service staff explain whether the removed parts have been properly reinstalled, how the surrounding area is protected and how wastewater is collected, and whether there is any material damage or any area that cannot be accessed. Residents should only observe from a safe position, and should not reach into the air outlet or remove panels themselves for acceptance.
Keep the test run separate from any existing fault
Test operation and drainage can be checked together, and any existing dripping water, unusual noise or cooling problem can be recorded to see whether further inspection is needed. Normal operation on the day does not mean there will be no future faults throughout the year. Cleaning cannot guarantee repair of damaged parts, installation issues or refrigerant system problems.
Keep actual service records
Keep the date, receipt, work scope, additional work and follow-up method, and clearly state the items still to be handled and the next step. Maintenance is confirmed according to the applicable written terms; cleaning service is not a promise to repair all parts or existing problems free of charge.
What should not be used to judge effectiveness?
Wastewater colour, odour and before-and-after electricity bills alone cannot prove sterilisation, health benefits or fixed energy-saving results. If a new issue appears, record the model, time and symptoms and contact the service provider; do not repeatedly spray chemicals, clear the drain or turn the switch on and off to test it yourself.
