Buying an AC in winter is not necessarily cheaper than in other months. First compare the model suitable for the room, the energy label, supply and the full installation cost. Discounts are subject to actual terms; do not ignore size, parts and after-sales support just because of clearance or off-season promotions.
First determine the cooling capacity needed
Please state the room dimensions, sunlight exposure, ceiling height, usage, and number of users, then choose a unit according to the actual load and compare data for similar cooling capacities. Market tonnage names do not mean the same cooling capacity for all models, and a single area chart cannot be used to decide.
Discounts should be viewed together with the full quotation
Check whether the promotion applies to your model, stock availability and installation arrangements, and confirm whether removal of the old unit, standard installation, extra piping and safe workmanship are included. A lower unit price does not mean the overall project is cheaper, and a discount does not mean all accessories, manufacturer warranty or repair terms are the same.
The energy label is not a promise of your actual bill
A Hong Kong energy label at grade 1 represents higher energy efficiency. You should also look at cooling capacity and the listed power consumption. Actual electricity use is affected by weather, settings, usage and room conditions, and there is no fixed promise of energy savings or payback time just because a unit is new, inverter type or from a certain year.
Confirm whether installation is possible before placing the order
Ask the installer to check the opening, indoor and outdoor positions, support, drainage, power supply and maintenance space, then confirm delivery and the works. Keep the full model, quotation, receipt and warranty details, and do not assume that pre-ordering means installation can be done immediately on any date.
