Cleaning Cooker Hobs | Extends Service Life

Contents

Cookers such as gas stoves and induction cookers are among the most frequently used appliances in the kitchen. Regular cleaning can improve performance, extend service life and help maintain a clean kitchen environment.

Cleaning Cooker Hobs | Cleaning Procedure:

Switch off the power or gas: Before cleaning any electrical or gas equipment, make sure it has been switched off and unplugged, or that the gas valve has been closed.

Remove detachable parts: For a gas stove, the burner cap and burner base (if removable) can be taken off. For an induction cooker, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Gentle cleaning: Use a mild cleaning agent and warm water to clean these parts. Avoid corrosive cleaners, as they may damage the surface. For stubborn stains, you may use a dedicated kitchen cleaner.

Clean the Hob: Use a damp cloth or sponge to clean the hob, and avoid letting water enter the gas pipe or power socket.

Clean the Inside of the Oven: If your stove has an oven function, clean it with a mild cleaning agent and warm water. For stubborn grease, a dedicated oven cleaner may be needed.

Air-dry: let all parts air-dry naturally, or wipe them dry with a dry cloth.

Reassemble the cooker: make sure all parts are dry, then reinstall it.

Cleaning Cooker Hobs | Benefits of Cleaning Cooker Hobs:

Improve performance: stubborn dirt and grease can affect a cooker hood's performance; keeping it clean helps ensure the cooker hood operates at its best.

Extend lifespan: Proper maintenance and cleaning can help prevent early wear and damage, thereby extending the service life of the cooker.

Maintain a clean kitchen environment: a clean cooktop not only looks better, but also helps prevent grease and food debris from spreading during cooking, helping to keep the kitchen cleaner.

Prevent fire: Grease and food debris left on the hob may cause a fire, and regular cleaning can reduce this risk.

Regular cooking stove cleaning can improve performance, extend service life, help maintain a clean kitchen and reduce the risk of fire.
