Book range hood cleaning: parts scope, protection and completion check

Contents

When booking range hood cleaning, first confirm whether the service covers routine grease filter cleaning, internal cleaning, or additional duct work. Different models and installation methods vary, so do not assume that all parts will be removed, soaked or treated just because the service is called "deep cleaning" or "steam cleaning".

Provide the model and site photos

Photograph the unit, installation height, surrounding cabinets, cooking appliances and any visible ducting, and explain whether unusual noise, changes in extraction, oil dripping or tripping has already appeared. Do not remove the fixed casing just to take photos, and do not move unknown gas or power equipment.

Which parts are confirmed in the quote?

Ask item by item about the actual scope for the oil tray, filter, removable parts, interior and ducting, and note any parts that cannot be removed or reached. If cleaning agents or steam are used, confirm whether the model, coating and parts are suitable. Do not treat the tool name as a promise that it will never damage the unit.

Peripheral protection and wastewater arrangements

Confirm how the appliance, cabinets, walls and floor will be protected, and how removed parts, waste water and cleaning products will be handled. Extra dismantling, ducting or damaged parts must be confirmed and quoted first; do not assume the general cleaning fee includes every issue.

Check together after completion

Record the parts completed, reinstalled, and tested, confirm that no tools or cleaning residue were left behind, and state clearly whether the original abnormality is still present. Parts replacement, wiring, or other fault repairs should be confirmed separately; do not treat the cleaning record as an electrical or fire safety inspection certificate.

Ongoing maintenance

Maintain removable washable oil cups and filters according to your own model manual, and keep records of the cleaning date and service scope. There is no fixed deep-clean interval that applies to all households, and we cannot promise a certain percentage of electricity savings or permanent freedom from repairs after cleaning.
