What does AC cleaning service include? Separate cleaning, inspection and repair items clearly
Contents
AC cleaning does not mean every component will be dismantled and washed, and it does not necessarily include fault inspection or repair. When comparing services, first check the model, cleaning parts, outdoor unit, drainage and restoration arrangements, then confirm any extra work and quotation; residents do not need to dismantle the unit beforehand.
The Importance of AC Cleaning
Improve performance
Dust and impurities inside the AC obstruct heat exchange efficiency, increasing the load on the unit and affecting cooling performance.
Energy saving and carbon reduction
Removing dirt may improve airflow and heat exchange, but actual electricity use depends on the model, load and usage habits. We do not guarantee that every unit will save electricity after cleaning.
Air quality
Dust buildup and moisture inside the air conditioner may become a breeding ground for bacteria and mould. Regular cleaning helps improve indoor air quality.
Extend lifespan
Cleaning and maintenance can help understand the condition of the equipment, but age, installation and parts condition also affect use, so one service cannot guarantee a longer lifespan.
When to Clean Your AC
Judge cleaning needs according to the manual, usage time, and dirt build-up, and also consider available booking times. There is no universal rule that a unit used all year must be deep-cleaned every six months. If there is a fault, explain it first and do not wait for a fixed season.
Scope of residents’ maintenance and professional work
Switch off the power
Before residents handle filters that may be dismantled and washed, stop the unit and cut off the power according to the manual; do not operate yourself on internal electrical controls, wiring or fixings.
Can the filter be removed for cleaning?
Only filters that the manual allows the user to remove should be cleaned and dried according to the model requirements; do not dismantle the casing just to remove the filter, and do not soak everything in cleaning agent.
How do we confirm internal cleaning?
Confirm the cleaning scope for the evaporator, fan wheel and drainage points, and let the service staff assess protection and wastewater disposal; residents should not spray chemicals on the fins or clean the drain pan themselves.
Does the outdoor unit need to be assessed separately?
Whether the outdoor unit can be reached safely, and whether high-level work or dismantling is involved, must be confirmed on site. Normal cleaning does not mean dismantling the compressor or the refrigerant circuit. Do not wash the outdoor electrical parts yourself.
Inspect the drainage system
Record the dripping location and the original condition first. Ask in advance whether cleaning includes the relevant drainage area. Do not remove pipes, flush with water or pour drain cleaner yourself.
Reassemble and test operation
Restoration and test running of internal parts will be arranged by service staff. Residents may check the completed scope and follow-up items. If the unit is damp or abnormal, do not power it on for testing yourself.
Choosing a professional AC cleaning service
Residents’ filter maintenance cannot replace internal unit work. When choosing a service, compare the actual scope, safety arrangements and quotation, and explain existing faults first rather than comparing only the equipment names.
Inspection: confirm whether this is a pre-cleaning operating check or a separate fault diagnosis; do not treat the two as the same service.
Professional tools: using professional cleaning tools and agents can clean the AC more thoroughly.
Repairs: cleaning does not automatically include parts replacement, leak fixing, or refrigerant work; when needed, first confirm the inspection results, scope of work, and cost.
First compare by parts and work scope so quotes are easier to compare. If the booking information is incomplete, some items still need reassessment, and there is no guarantee that cleaning alone will solve every smell, leak or lack of cooling.
Find professional help
Please provide the model, quantity, location and existing fault, and ask us to state clearly what is included and what will be quoted separately; do not remove the unit or test with chemicals yourself just because a booking has been made.
