When should AC cleaning be scheduled in summer? It depends on the unit condition and hours of use

There is no single best month to clean every AC. The unit condition can be checked before usage increases, but actual cleaning depends on dirt buildup, hours of use, environment and the manual; dripping, icing or unusual noise should not wait until a particular season.

Spring preventive cleaning

Allow time before peak periods for inspection and work, which can reduce the inconvenience of unexpected downtime; this is a scheduling consideration, not a guarantee that spring cleaning will always be cleaner or cheaper.

Assess based on the actual unit condition in early summer

If it was cleaned in spring, whether it should be cleaned again in early summer depends on later use and dirt build-up; it cannot be specified that a deep clean must be done again in mid-June. Even after cleaning, the equipment may still have parts, drainage, or installation issues, and zero faults under heavy load cannot be guaranteed.

Supplementary cleaning at the end of summer

Regular cleaning helps remove accumulated dirt and prepare the AC unit for operation.

Residents should only carry out filter and exterior maintenance allowed by the manual, and should not dismantle the unit, clean the fan or heat exchanger themselves.
