Air conditioner temperature setting for the season change: 25 degrees is not a skin health standard
Contents
Without data, 25 to 27 degrees cannot be called the ideal autumn skincare temperature for everyone. AC settings, the actual temperature and humidity in the room, and personal health are different issues; you cannot say stopping the AC will definitely cause skin sensitivity, nor can dry air or cleaning the unit treat dryness and itchiness.
Energy-saving advice is not a medical standard
The Consumer Council's summer usage tips recommend 24 to 26 degrees Celsius to save energy. This is not a medical prescription based on age, skin condition or season. When the season changes, adjust according to the actual indoor environment and your own comfort; if there are specific health or care needs, consult a suitable professional separately.
The set number is not the measured result
Record the usage pattern, air direction, actual indoor temperature and humidity, and when the discomfort occurs. Do not infer humidity or perceived temperature directly from the remote control setting. You may adjust the airflow as described in the manual to reduce direct blowing, but do not block the outlet or modify the unit yourself.
Shutdown and drying depend on your model
For long-term shutdown, check the manufacturer's procedure first and confirm whether there is an internal drying function, the operating method and power-off arrangements. Do not rely on a fixed fan-only duration, and do not keep the unit running as a guarantee against mould inside. If there is a burning smell, water ingress or a tripped breaker, stop using it first and find out the cause.
Filter and deep cleaning should be viewed separately
Filters approved by the manufacturer should be maintained as specified; special filter materials should not all be soaked. A clean filter does not mean the inside of the unit has been inspected, but it also does not mean that the entire unit is heavily contaminated. Whether deep cleaning is needed depends on the actual buildup and the condition of the unit.
Follow up on equipment and symptoms separately
If the equipment has odour, dripping water, or changes in cooling, provide the model and symptoms for the service provider to assess. If you have ongoing dry skin, rash, or other discomfort, seek medical advice. Acceptance of cleaning should be based on actual cleanliness and test-running, not on skin reaction as proof of sterility or treatment effect.
